The Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites you to participate in a special Up Close Virtual Session on Science and Engineering. At Yale, world-class research and exceptional undergraduate teaching come together to create extraordinary opportunities and campus and beyond. 

This special session will feature a panel of Yale faculty who are leaders in their fields and dedicated mentors to undergraduate researchers. The panelists will share their experiences working with undergraduates and Yale's extensive opportunities for research. This virtual event will feature:

• Sarah Demers, Professor of Physics and former co-chair of the ATLAS Experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
• Tesca Fitzgerald, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and principal investigator at Yale's Inquisitive Robotics Lab
• John Yi, Associate Director of Admissions 
• Current undergraduate science and engineering majors 

What to know about this special session:

• As a participant, you will not share your video or audio.
• After registering, you will be invited to submit 1-2 questions in advance. Presenters will use the advance questions to guide the panel conversations.
• Participants will be able to submit questions via live Q&A to the student panelists during the session.  
• Registrants will receive a confirmation email with a link to the session and instructions on how to use the tele-conferencing platform Zoom.
