Up Close Virtual Session: Rural & Small Town Students

Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 7:00 PM until 8:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

The Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites you to participate in a special Up Close Virtual Session for Rural & Small-Town Students. Yale College students come from a remarkably diverse range of backgrounds and high schools. Many Yalies from rural areas never imagined leaving home for college before learning about the opportunities and communities available at Yale.

This special session will feature a panel of current undergraduates who are members of the Rural Student Alliance at Yale. It will also provide information about Yale's involvement as an inaugural member of the STARS College Network

What to know about this special session:

  • As a participant, you will not share your video or audio.
  • After registering, you will be invited to submit 1-2 questions in advance. Presenters will use the advance questions to guide the panel conversations.
  • Participants will be able to submit questions via live Q&A to the student panelists during the session.
  • Registrants will receive a confirmation email with a link to the session and instructions on how to use the tele-conferencing platform Zoom.

Before attending, consider registering separately for a virtual information session to learn more about academic programs, residential life, admissions and financial aid from an admissions officer and current student.

International Students: this session is specifically designed for domestic students who come from rural and small towns within the U.S. If you have questions about applying to Yale as an international student, please consider signing up for our other virtual events.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
