Up Close Virtual Session: Affordability & Financial Aid

Monday, October 16, 2023 at 7:00 PM until 8:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

The Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites you to participate in a special Up Close Virtual Session on Affordability and Financial Aid. Yale awards all undergraduate financial aid on the basis of financial need, with the goal of making a Yale education affordable for everyone. Yale’s need-based awards meet the full demonstrated financial need of all students, regardless of citizenship or immigration status. This includes undocumented students living in the US, with or without DACA status. Yale does not expect students to take out loans.

This special session will feature a panel of financial aid officers who will discuss the basics of Yale's need-based financial aid awards, the process of applying for aid, how to estimate and understand your family's cost of attendance, Yale's Safety Net emergency hardship funding, and more.

What to know about this special session:

  • As a participant, you will not share your video or audio.
  • After registering, you will be invited to submit 1-2 questions in advance. Presenters will use the advance questions to guide the panel conversations.
  • Participants will be able to submit questions via live Q&A to the student panelists during the session.
  • Registrants will receive a confirmation email with a link to the session and instructions on how to use the tele-conferencing platform Zoom.

Before attending, consider registering separately for a virtual information session to learn more about academic programs, residential life, admissions and financial aid from an admissions officer and current student.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
