Due to COVID-19, there will be no in-person interviews allowed for the safety of applicants and interviewers in the 2020-2021 admissions cycle. Please fill out the Registration form if you would like to virtually interview this cycle. Thank you for your participation!

The ASC is a network of alumni volunteers who share a passion for Yale and conduct interviews on behalf of Undergraduate Admissions with the goals of:

1. Providing crucial information about applicants to Yale so that the admissions
committee can make better decisions as it shapes the first-year class,

and,

2. Establishing a Yale presence to educate the local applicants and community about
Yale’s unique opportunities, values, and character.

If any of the following statements apply, you are NOT eligible to interview with the ASC this cycle (2020-2021):

I have a relative (e.g. child, grandchild, sibling, cousin, niece, nephew) who will be applying to Yale College this cycle.
I will also be interviewing for another college or university's undergraduate admissions office.
I work as a paid college counselor or undergraduate admissions officer.

Interview Preferences

Most ASC members interview during the Early Action (EA) and Regular Decision (RD) rounds of admission. EA interviews take place during November, whereas RD interviews take place in January and February.

Each year, we ask volunteers to confirm that they have reviewed ASC Orientation and the Principles of Best Practice so that they have a clear understanding of ambassador expectations.
